Alessandro Del Piero’s move to Manchester United is on hold

By Football Italian staffThe Juventus midfielder has signed a two-year contract extension at Manchester United and is now looking to continue his career elsewhere.

The signing of Del Pieros former teammate and Inter teammate Alessandro Nesta, and the news that Juventus have agreed to sign Manchester United forward Mario Balotelli, have given Juventus a new option for their defensive woes.

The 31-year-old Italy international has been one of the most consistent performers at the Juventus starting line-up since joining the club from Milan in 2014, and has been a regular in the first team since his arrival.

However, the Bianconeri are in need of reinforcements at the back and will have to make do with another striker, as Juventus are still without a reliable striker in the January transfer window.

This news has left many fans wondering how the new agreement with Manchester United will impact Del Pierocos long-term future, with the player’s contract expiring after this season.

The deal is for two years and has an option for a further two years.
