In an exclusive interview with Vice News, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ first Hispanic president, Luis Barrientos, shared the stories behind the best and worst moments from the 2018 Oscars.

“It’s a very sad year,” Barriento said.

“There are a lot of movies that I think are really important, and I think that the best ones are the ones that are the most relevant.

I don’t think we’re doing a very good job of getting them out.

And I think we are the least diverse, but I think there are some good ones.

I think the best movies are the things that are going to resonate with the audience, that will have an impact.”
